Why Cuba?
Welcome to the Cuban Connection. My name is Larry Frisby. I have been a pastor for the last 35 years. Most recently we started Freedom Baptist Church of Campbellsville, KY, in 2002, which I have formally resigned to become a missionary to Cuba. I have been going to Cuba a week at a time and have discovered that our ministry would be more effective if our mission teams had, as it were, boots on the ground. My hearts desire is to help our Cuban brothers and sisters to have the resources they need to win souls for Jesus Christ. At this time there is a spiritual awakening and our Cuban friends are very receptive to the gospel. It is to this end that my wife, Marian, and I have resigned the pastorate and are currently raising the resources needed for the furtherance of the gospel in Cuba. Cuban Church Profiles
Recently I had the privilege of going into the mountains near Bayamo, Baracoa, Maisi and Guantanamo, meeting with approximately 110 pastors in the city and rural communities. The churches of these communities have been devastated by natural disasters over the last 20 years and lack the adequate resources to complete repairs; some even need complete rebuilds.
The average Cuban income is $30.00 USD a month and it is unattainable for them to repairs their churches. I have committed the rest of my ministry to help these churches and the Cuban people to not only repair their churches but to develop evangelism strategies for the Kingdom of God.
